Advice from Elizabeth Gilbert
Last night, an aspiring writer asked Ms. Gilbert for some off-beat advice. I’m not an aspiring writer, but two of my best friends are. So I took notes.
1. Forgo the MFA. School = debt. Plus, 50 years ago, there was no such thing as an MFA. Not necessary. (Yes, people were seriously gasping in shock and horror while she was saying this!)
2. Do what ever you can to make money. You...
Do you still meditate?
“I don’t. I should. And you should. …But I don’t.”
— Elizabeth Gilbert, last night at her speaking engagement in Harvard Square
She was funny, honest, open, smart, and downright entertaining. Love her!
Late to the Game.
I am finally obsessing about over-the-knee boots. I want some. BAD. Trying to figure out if I should go for flats (wear them all the time) or heels (more flattering, but prob only wear on special nights out). Hmmm…
And yes, I have tried on both styles. And yes, I like how they look, even though I am short.
Amen. Goodnight.
